Liu Zhenggang, a designer, has been released. He was released on 24 June on medical grounds. He remains under surveillance at his home in Beijing, China.

The trial for Chinese artist and activist Wu Yuren has now been scheduled to take place on 17 November at Wenyuhe Court in Beijing. Wu Yuren was detained in May, and allegedly beaten by the police. He has been denied access to medical treatment. [ Lire la suite » ]

Filmmaker Mohammad Ali Shirzadi was released on bail from Evin Prison in Tehran on 19 June. He is due to face trial in the next few weeks on charges relating to an interview he filmed between a human rights defender and a senior dissident cleric.
