Somali and Eritrean asylum-seekers and migrants are on hunger strike in protest against their illegal detention at a Migrant Accommodation Centre in Western Ukraine. Seventy-one members of a Guatemalan community who had sought refuge in Tabasco state, Mexico, have been detained by Mexican authorities and taken to a migrant detention centre. Urgent action (good news): United Kingdom. Irish travellers facing eviction leave site

Urgent action (follow up) : South Korea. Court rules in favour of trade unionist Michel Catuira.

Migrants Trade Union’s (MTU) President, Michel Catuira, had his appeal against attempts by Korean authorities to deport him upheld on 15 September. Seoul’s Administrative Court ruled that the Korea Immigration Service’s (KIS) efforts to deport him were in violation of South Korean and international human rights law. Urgent action (good news): United Arab Emirates. Death sentence of Indian migrants revoked

Urgent action: Italy. Roma evicted from settlements in Rome

Residents in at least three unauthorized Roma settlements in Rome have been evicted, continuing what seems to be a wave of forced evictions in the Italian capital. According to local NGOs, more than 30 settlements have been evicted since the beginning of April.
