The two journalists from newspaper The Destiny, arrested in early November, have been released without charge.
Ngor Garang, The Destiny's editor-in-chief, had been arrested on 1 November when he went to a meeting with the Director General of South Sudan's National Security Services (NSS). Two Mexicans who had been detained and charged with terrorism and sabotage after being accused of posting messages on Twitter and Facebook have been released without charge.
Local journalist, María de Jesús Bravo Pagola (known as Maruchi) and teacher Gilberto Martínez Vera were released on 21 September without charge after the state governor ordered the prosecution to be ceased. [ Lire la suite » ]

Two women who were detained after being arrested at a protest in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh, on 3 July were released on 5 July.
Rima bint Abdul Rahman al-Jareesh and Sharifa al-Saqa’abi were released in the early evening on 5 July. Rima bint Abdul Rahman al-Jareesh was reported to have been released after a male guardian was told to act as a guarantor for her release. [ Lire la suite » ]
