Urgent action (follow-up): Sudan. Detained activist Bushra Gamar Hussein Rahma has been transferred.

On 22 January, Sudanese human rights activist Bushra Gamar Hussein Rahma was transferred from Kober prison, Khartoum, into the custody of the Attorney-General. Four Chilean prisoners who had been on hunger strike since 15 March have now ended their strike.
Héctor Llaitul, Jonathan Huillical, José Hueniche and Ramón Llanquileo, who are of Mapuche ethnic origin, began a hunger strike on 15 March in protest against the use of anti-terrorist legislation against them. They also alleged violations of due process. [ Lire la suite » ]
