The Tajikistani authorities have asked the Russian authorities to extradite Ismon Azimov from Russia for "organization of a criminal group", suspecting that he is a member of the banned Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU). ‘Abd al-Rahman Hammada was released on bail on 27 June 2011 after spending a month and a half in detention. He was reportedly tortured during the first two weeks of his detention. His brother Wa’el Hammada has been held incommunicado since his arrest on 12 May. Amnesty International is gravely concerned for his safety. [ Lire la suite » ]
