Urgent action: Court in Bahrain jails 14 for protesting.

Bahrain's High Criminal Court of Appeal has upheld the six-month prison sentences of 14 people convicted of, among other things, taking part in an "illegal gathering". Amnesty International believes they may be prisoners of conscience.

The High Criminal Court of Appeal in the capital, Manama, upheld on 24 November the six-month prison sentences handed down to a group of 14 protesters. International observers were present during the hearing. [ Lire la suite » ]
