The right to freedom of expression of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people in the Russian city of St Petersburg could be severely restricted if a new bill is passed into law. The Tajikistani authorities have asked the Russian authorities to extradite Ismon Azimov from Russia for "organization of a criminal group", suspecting that he is a member of the banned Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU). Georgi Nakani, a 21-year-old man from village of Neitrino in the Russian Federation Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria in the North Caucasus, was abducted by unidentified men at around midnight on 15 December. He was shot at, pushed into a car and driven away. His whereabouts are unknown and Amnesty International fears he may be the victim of an enforced disappearance. [ Lire la suite » ]
